Fall Flower and Vegetable Show, Plant Exchange, Refreshments (Lug-A-Mug) and Door Prizes

Flower & Vegetable Show Details: Please bring your own containers. Paper plates will be supplied for vegetables classes 1-3.

Only one entry per class. Cut flowers, herbs and vegetables must be grown by the exhibitor

and is a member of the London Horticultural Society. No invasive plants are to be used in

the horticultural or design competitions.

Horticultural Classes

1. Tomatoes, 5, small variety, calyx on and named

2. Tomatoes, 2, slicing variety, calyx on and named

3. Beans, 6 pods, any variety, named

4. Swiss Chard, 3 leaves, displayed in a transparent glass to show stems, named

5. Collection of cut herbs, 5 varieties in separate containers,1-3 stems of each, named

6. Sedum, 2 stems, named

7. Salvia, 3 spikes, named

8. Geranium (Pelargonium) with foliage attached, 1 stem, named

9. Rose, 1 stem (bloom, cluster or spray), named

10. Collection of mixed garden flowers in a suitable container, maximum 6 varieties,

named

Each stem of blooms should be of show quality

Design Classes

1. “Farmer’s Market” - a design using fresh Ontario grown produce to include some plant

material and flowers

2. “Down by the Thames” - a water viewing design up to 24” wide (no height restriction)

3. “Take a Hike” - a design in a boot or shoe
