STANDARD FLOWER SHOW - November 23, 2026

Section 1: Horticulture Classes

 1. Dried seed head stem and/or branch, named e.g. fennel, dill

2. Dried seed pod, named

3. Specimen Houseplant, named

4. Amaryllis, 1 pot, named

5. Microgreens, grown in a glass container, named

 Section 2: Design Classes

 1.  Natural Holiday: in a mason type jar, design a holiday table arrangement with natural plant material, no artificial or preserved plant material, no floral foam or oasis

2.  Home for the Holidays: create a holiday planter with festive plants, accessories

allowed.

3.  Seasons Greeting: design a Holiday Pot-et-fleur (a combination of growing plants

(foliage and/or flowering) in or out of pots, packed lightly with soil and/or other

moisture-retaining material, plus cut flowers in tubes of water, floral foam or other

material, assembled in one container.) Moss, decorative wood and rock may be

included. No cut foliage is permitted; cut flowering and /or fruited branches may be used.

4.  Holiday Memories: design a holiday card with pressed flowers, leaves

and seasonal plant material.

5.  For the Birds: Create an edible treat (e.g. suet bird seed cookie). Include recipe.
